Sourced from the southeastern region of Mozambique, these aquamarines are admired for their delicate and captivating light blue hues. While lighter tones are more common, deeper blue aquamarines from this area are rare—and even more seldom available as rough stones suitable for cutting.

The most prized material is often referred to as “double blue” aquamarine, characterized by a rich blue color visible along both optical axes of the crystal structure. When expertly cut, these stones reveal a vibrant, classic blue reminiscent of regal gemstones, making them highly desirable for collectors and fine jewelry alike.
